2023 Workshops Updated! New Digital Printing for Digital Books Workshop

We are launching a new workshop that will run April 3rd-7th of this year entitled Digital Printing for Digital Books. This is a modified version of my inkjet printing workshop that focused on concerns for using inkjet prints for handmade books. Maine Media Book Artist-in-Residence 2022 Open for Applications

As the most recent recipient of the Book Artist-in-Residence award from Maine Media, I can highly recommend this to those interested in the book arts. Applications are due June 1st.

The award was very important to me as it started me on what I hope is a long journey of practicing the book arts. My time in the studio, and the guidance of Richard Reitz Smith, essentially taught me how to make a book. Book Artist in Residence

Back in 2019 I was awarded a Book Artist in Residence from Maine Media Workshops + College, and after a pandemic-induced delay, I’m finally working (and soon completing!) the book. The book is based on my Annals of the Former World: The Anthropocene Surveys project and I love how it is coming out. Stay tuned for much more information…

Book Artist in Residence

I feel like I’m at the beginning of a new adventure, as I’m excited to finally announce that I am one of the Book Artists in Residence at Maine Media Workshops + College for 2019-2020. I’ve been interested for many years in moving into the handmade artist book for my own work, and now I am finally actually doing it!

My residency extends until May 2020 and I’ll be working on a series of books related to my new Annals of the Former World project. Much more on this soon!
